Alton Fitzgerald White performed a record-breaking 4,308 performances as King Mufasa in The Lion King. His other Broadway starring roles are John in Miss Saigon, the Hawker in The Who's Tommy, Ken in Smokey Joe's Cafe on Broadway and London’s West End, Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime and Mister in The Color Purple. Alton is the author of the critically acclaimed book, My Pride: Mastering Life’s Daily Performance and has become an in-demand keynote speaker. Alton performs concerts all over the world with music from his best-selling CD Disney My Way. He has guest starred in dozens of TV roles and national commercials and has also been featured on the big screen including a role in the 2023 blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Alton made his directorial debut a few seasons ago with Ragtime: the Symphonic Concert with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in which he also starred as Coalhouse Walker Jr. He repeated his performance as Coalhouse one month later with the Boston Pops at Tanglewood.
