Christian Sands’s star continues to rise with impressive credentials. His piano skills align perfectly with his artistic vision, leading to a fresh perspective on jazz music. Sands's musical expression is marked by a diverse range of techniques and styles, all executed with a sense of poetic subtlety, and rhythmic flair that has been evident since he first started playing.
From a young age, Sands showed a deep passion for music. His education at prestigious institutions like the Manhattan School of Music paved the way for a successful career. Collaborating with jazz legends such as Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater. Kurt Elling, Yo-Yo Ma and Christian McBride, to name a few, Sands has made a name for himself in the jazz world.
In addition to his stage accomplishments, Sands has contributed to soundtracks for film by George C. Wolf’s “Rustin” and educational programs across the US like the Monterey Jazz Festival’s Next Generation Orchestra, Jazz in July Amherst and his own program internationally, Christian Sands Kids, teaching English through song to Danish children in Copenhagen, DN.
Recognized as a future star by prominent figures in jazz, Sands continues to push boundaries with his innovative approach to music. With multiple Grammy nominations, international performances and most recently receiving the prestigious title of Chevalier De L’Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) from the French Minister of Culture, Sands' career shows no sign of slowing down as he continues to make a lasting impact on the world.
