Symphony Café

Whether you are joining us for lunch or dinner, the Symphony Café buffet has a lot to offer. Your reservation ensures a private table and a server for beverage orders, allowing you to dine at your own pace with our self-service buffet. Located in Higginson Hall South, Symphony Café offers a delicious buffet menu. The Café opens 2.5 hours before BSO concerts.

Prelude

The Prelude features two or three courses from our seasonal menu before BSO concerts on Thursdays and Saturdays only. Indulge in a delicious multi-course plated meal in Higginson Hall North. Dinner service begins 2.5 hours before the start of the concert.

Pre-Order a Meal Ahead of the Concert

Order in advance to reserve a table in the Cabot-Cahners Room before the concert begins.

How to place your order:

  • Please call 617-638-9328 for menu options and to place your order.
  • All orders must be placed 72 hours prior to the show performance.

How to pick up your order:

  • We recommend arriving when doors open for the performance.
  • Proceed to the Cabot-Cahners Room bar located on the second floor of Symphony Hall and check in with the bartender.
  • Your meal will be delivered to your pre-reserved table within 15 minutes of your arrival.

Pre-Concert and Intermission Refreshments

Snack Bar

The Snack Bar is located outside of the O'Block/Kay Room (next to the coatroom). It offers hot and cold beverages, desserts, candy, and chips.

O'Block/Kay and Cabot-Cahners Bars

The bars are located at the rear of Symphony Hall on the first and second floors, respectively. They offer a full complement of beer, wine by the glass, mixed cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

All bars are open prior to concerts and close after intermission. Drinks are not permitted in the hall during BSO performances.
